Grand Hotel – Titanic at the Grand – June 1 – 3, 2018

In 2018 take a look back presented by Parks Stephenson

For any of our past guests who thought the Titanic at the Grand was sinkable, it is not. Every year has a new turn and you will not want to miss this year’s unique experience with a special presentation by Titanic expert Parks Stephenson centered around the National Geographic documentary, Titanic: 20 years later with James Cameron. Thirty-two years after the discovery and 20 years after the blockbuster movie, the Titanic story is still evolving in unexpected ways. Looking through the filter of the film itself, and the choices Cameron made as writer, producer and director, Titanic: 20 Years Later With James Cameron examines two decades of information and looks back at all the critical choices made during the film and puts them to the test facing a wealth of new resources — including new underwater footage, computer-generated simulation and scholarly research. You will have a chance to view the documentary Friday evening followed by a special presentation about the documentary on Saturday by Parks Stephenson.

Friday evening join the crew and your fellow passengers on deck as we wave goodbye and embark on the Titanic’s maiden voyage out to sea with a Bon Voyage party. Sail away and enjoy dinner in the Main Dining Room followed by a screening of the documentary, Titanic: 20 years Later with James Cameron. Take part in special Saturday afternoon activities, including a special presentation by Parks Stephenson. Then on Saturday evening, show everyone your best 1912 period-themed attire where you will have the opportunity to take part in an evening reception before the interactive dinner theatre event, “Last Night on the Titanic.” The dinner will include menu items from the 11-course meal served to passengers. Guests will take on the role of an actual passenger and will find out if they survive at Saturday evening’s dinner.
