Traverse City - March 17
March 17 - 10:20 am - Trail Report: Looks like the riding may be over for the season. Forecast calls for highs in the 50s for the week and no return to cold weather in the forecast. Snowpack is diminishing fast, lots of mud and slush out there. |

Traverse City - March 13
Could it be summer is on the way in? Seems like its been such a short season here in the Boardman Valley this year. But for us snowmobiling enthusiasts it couldn't be long enough. Today, 3/13, trails are still in good condition but the weather man says we might be getting rain Sat. or Sun. and the temps are to be in the upper 40s also. If this happens we'll be seeing you on the beach soon. Nows the time to be getting in the last good rides this season. Traverse City - March 11
The groomers were out again last night here in the Boardman Valley. The trails are in excellent shape with a 3-7" base. Even the corners and road sides are snow covered again. Temps right now are about 10*. Looking outside right now the snow is coming down heavy with large flakes, its beautiful! Have a safe and fun weekend out there on the trails. Cheryl @ Sureway. Traverse City - March 4
Its been snowing here in the Boardman Valley for two days now. Trails were groomed again last night and are in very good condition. We have 4-9" trail base on the groomed trails and at least 3' on the secondary trails and in the fields. More snow is expected over the next 3 days, so it should be a great weekend on the trails again. Drive Safely. |

Traverse City - February 28
Still looking good here in the Boardman Valley. We have about a 6-9" base on most of the trails. Groomers have been out and doing a good job. Most of the trails are snow covered and in very good condition, there are just a couple of places to watch out for. The trail that goes directly into Fife Lake is mostly dirt and some trails heading south are running low on snow also. Just be careful out there and you won't have any problems. Traverse City - February 22
Well the February thaw has finally happened. There is still about a 3" base in some places in the Boardman Valley but the groomed trails are shot near Fife Lake and around RR. Roads and the sides are bare. So thats the bad news. Now lets talk good! We are expecting a good snow storm coming through Friday night or Saturday but we'll just have to wait to see the amount that really falls. Even though we MIGHT not be renting this weekend, we always have the guided tours going because Tim knows the best one tracks through the woods and pipe line trails. Traverse City - February 19
The slight warming here in the Boardman Valley has been a blessing. The snow is forming into a nice hard base, about 24+ inches, and it looks like we're getting more powder to add to it this weekend. The side trails and fields have at least 3'+. Its going to be another wonderful riding weekend. Come on up early and enjoy the trails mid-week, less traffic and rentals are less $ too! Boardman Valley - February 9
The snow keeps coming down here in the Boardman Valley. We had quite a snow fall last night about 8 more inches. Trails are in very good condition, groomer is doing a wonderful job. Most trails have anywhere from 6" to 12" base with another 8" of powder on them. Come on up! We have the snow, snowmobiles and location. Mid week rentals are so fun, less traffic and less $ too! The Elk Rapids Picnic Table Cam. We keep getting snow!!! Two or three more inches overnight. Trails should be in excellent shape for the rest of the week and through the weekend. |

Northwest winds are blowing hard over Lake Michigan and northwest Michigan is picking up additional snow today (Tuesday). Be careful out on the roads as you may run into blizzard and white out conditions. |
