To clarify to anyone who was not able to read the full news release, Festival on the Bay lost funds in three of the last five years despite the efforts of its staff and volunteers. Festivals are very expensive to run, and our savings are depleted. We simply can't afford to continue. This was a very difficult decision for everyone involved. Thanks to everyone who has been a contributor, participant, or attendee of past festivals. We are grateful for your support.

You have to remember that one of those people that voted he's running of the mayor's seat

This last years was easily the best, poor decision. The chamber can afford it.

And once again, the “great minds” of Petoskey choose to stifle any potential for the many great musicians in the area to flourish. The options to see live music in Petoskey are already extremely limited and sub-par, do you guys just like...hate music? And music aside, what about the people who have been making an annual commitment to make the event happen? Whether it be vending, promoting, or actually building the damn thing? Hopefully there’s something else in the works because if not...y’all need to tighten up.

I’ve got the Jelly Roll Blues!😨

So sad to see this go. We always loved the festival. Thank you to everyone whose efforts made this festival happen over the years.

sad to see the one event that actually promoted local musicians with a well produced show in petoskey gone. battle of the bands years ago, now the whole event? sad day for petoskey local musicians, back to dark lit tiny bars with elevations instead of stages.

BUMMER!! Thank you for the great tunes

We've gone every year. What a shame!!

When one door closes another one opens? Looking forward to the next exciting Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce project!

It bothered some super rich person maybe??? I can’t believe that it didn’t bring a tremendous amount of money to town. It was alway hopping with people. Oh well, maybe something new for the musical folks in the area???

Really fun to have played your event.

Wow that totally shocked me. No denying what decision DDA will be making

This is just stupid, the leadership in this town sucks

No fundraising efforts?

Thank you Lindsey Pauline Walker for sharing this festival while it lasted. 🙏💚♻️🖤

Can the Festival be scaled back to just have a beer tent and music?

That’s just nuts.

Smh 🤦‍♂️
