Known as the Cherry Capital of the World, Traverse City is excited to host the inaugural Ironman 70.3 Traverse City race on August 25, 2019.

The race consists of a 1.2 mile swim in West Grand Traverse Bay, a 56 mile bike through Leelanau County and Benzie County, and a 13.1 mile run along Boardman Lake, finishing on Front Street in the heart of downtown Traverse City.

Athletes and spectators will find a host of unique restaurants and a variety of wineries and breweries to enjoy during their time in Traverse City.

The 2019 IRONMAN 70.3 Traverse City will offer 30 qualifying slots to the 2020 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.

Our Farm-to-Table dining series brings the fresh flavors of northern Michigan to the Thistle Pub & Grille the third weekend of each month, May through September.

Our chefs work with local farms, making personal visits to many of them, to build a custom three-course menu.

Our Farm-to-Table series is a clear example of Crystal Mountain’s commitment to the sustainability of the local food movement and the role that our restaurants play in it.

Frankfort Fall Festival – October 12, 2019

Frankfort Fall Festival
Visit downtown Frankfort for a day of fall fun! Enjoy a parade featuring the Scottville Clown Band, wagon rides, scavenger hunts, pie eating contests and TONS of pumpkin fun including the Weight Contest, Giant Pumpkin Drop (on a car!) and everyone’s favorite pumpkin carvings by Mr. Moody.

The annual Fall Festival festivities begin with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Frankfort Fire Department at The Hotel Frankfort from 7:00 am – 11:00 AM.

Starting at 11:00 am, the Fall Festival Parade, featuring The Scottville Clown Band, GIANT pumpkins, locally built floats and the always popular Mutt March.

We are accepting participants for the Parade and Mutt March.

Don’t forget to grab your 2019 Fall Festival Souvenir T-Shirts and Cinch Bags at the Frankfort-Elberta Chamber of Commerce booth the day of the festival or at the Chamber office 517 Main St. Frankfort.

Directly following the parade, a host of activities will take place in the Open Space Park.
Mutt March Awards Live Music featuring The Scottville Clown Band will perform under the Big Tent, which also features domestic beer and wine and beer from Stormcloud, Wine, Mead from St. Ambrose and Cocktails from Iron Fish!

GIANT pumpkins, squash and watermelon weigh-in.

Kids 5-15 years of age can guess the weight of a giant pumpkin and have the opportunity to win a brand new BIKE!

Back by Popular demand: Helicopter Rides – $55 per person. Departs from the Boat Launch parking lot at 10th and Main St.

The Frankfort Fire Department will host Kids Activities and Demos near the Library
Starting at noon, judging for the Home Brew Competition at Stormcloud Brewing Co.

First Congregational Church will host their Cake Walk at 1pm
Bid on some fantastic items at the Silent Auction 11p-2:30pm,
Who doesn’t love a Pie Eating Contest?! (Register at 1:00pm – contest begins at 1:30pm)
Our Fall Festival would not be the same without the CRAZY Pumpkin Drop! 2:30pm near boat launch.

A wide variety of activities will be available from 11:00 am – 3:30pm:A Beer, Wine, Mead and Cocktail Tent (Open until 5pm) After the Scottville Clown Band, Bill Frary will play live until 5pm.

Pumpkin Decorating, “Hillbilly Olimpiks”-the silly-themed obstacle course
Popular Kid’s Games and a Straw Maze will be all set up in Open Space Park for all to enjoy.

The Garden Theater will again host FREE showings of “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” at 2:00 and 3:00 pm.

Don’t miss the Oktoberfest Party to cap off Beer Week at Stormcloud Brewing Company. Music Starts at 8pm

The returning BEER, WINE, MEAD and COCKTAIL TENT will be in the Open Space starting at 11am. Celebrate Frankfort Beer Week with a fun Beer tent with Live Music featuring the Scottville Clown Band and Bill Frary.

Crystal Mountain – Haunted Trail – October 18 & 19, 2019

Crystal Mountain - Haunted Trail
7:30 – 9:30pm: Get ready to scream! Ride the Loki lift & follow the lanterns down the Haunted Trail… if you dare. Our Haunted Trail is available October 18-19 and 25-26, 2019.

Cost: $9 per person. Ages 6 & under free with paying adult.

Fall Fun Pass

Available Saturdays, September 21 – October 26.

Includes unlimited Alpine Slide (weather permitting), two climbs on the Climbing Wall , two laps on the Edge Adventure Course , and one daily Mountain Activity (Glitter Tattoo, Tube-A-Licious Candy, S’more, Chairlift Ride*, Pumpkin Carving**, or Haunted Trail**).

*Chairlift Rides are offered select dates: Fridays, October 11, 18, 25 from 4-6pm; Saturdays, October 12, 19 and 26 from 11am-3pm; and Sundays, October 13 and 20 from Noon-2pm.
*Pumpkin Carving and Haunted Trail are available October 19 and 26, 2019 only.

Cost: $39 per person or $20 for 52″ or under. Add Laser Tag *, Archery * or Bike Rental * for just $1 more!
