Kick off summer with a running start at Crystal Mountain's 4th Annual Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k race! The North Mitten Half Marathon, 10k and 5k is a combination of paved roads, dirt roads and trails. The North Mitten route consists of primarily flat, open trails on Crystal Mountain property and will not climb the mountain. Both races will start and finish at the white slopeside tent near the Crystal Clipper chairlift. This is a great spring race for beginners and experienced runners!

Created by the Benzie Sunrise Rotary Club and hosted by Crystal Mountain for the last nine years, the Bike Benzie Tour is an annual charity ride for the benefit of area youth.

The event offers four picturesque rides through beautiful northwest lower Michigan that challenge riders of all ages and abilities. Benzie County and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, where a large portion of the 100-mile loop is located, provide a rare combination of incredible natural scenery and perfect cycling terrain. Also, great food stops along the way feature regional snacks and more. All four rides start and end at Crystal Mountain.

Before January 1 - April 3: Single adult, $40; Family*, $115
April 4 - May 3: Single adult, $45; Family*, $125
May 4 - June 2: Single adult, $50; Family*, $135

Leelanau Peninsula has become well-known for its Riesling and other cool-climate white varietals and blends. What is often overlooked, however, are the high-quality red wines being grown in the region.

To help get beneath the surface, the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail hosts a fun event to explore and discover great red wines of Leelanau Peninsula. The Hunt for the Reds of October takes place weekdays (Monday through Friday) during the month of October. For the entire month of October, your ticket gets you a complimentary pour at each of more than 20 participating wineries offering diverse red wines: big and bold Cabernet Francs and Merlots, aromatic and spicy Pinot Noirs and many more.
