We apologize if some are offended. Please keep in mind that we are located within the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and just like deer, bears, raccoons, birds of prey and many other of nature’s creatures, snakes are part of our local ecosystem. This picture was taken early in the morning as we we’re preparing our space and void of resort patrons. The intention of said post was to show something you don’t see everyday. This creature was just there minding its own business. We nudges it along and it went off amid the dunes and high grass.

Beautiful snake! You should thank to snake! They take care rodent problems for you!

Kathryn Rose Cindy Schmidt 😧😧😧

Why would you advertise that is on your property? ewwww.

Thank you for sharing the entertaining pic! 👍😄 We’ll be back for your delicious food! Had the asiago whitefish last night, it was wonderful!

It’s Northern Michigan my fellow primates. It’s harmless to humans and they normally retreat. In my 38 years of life— I’ve never seen a snake in common area. Today was a first. Snakes in the woods, dunes, country roads along with bears, bobcats, red tail foxes. Knowing the leadership of the resort, it was safely and properly transported away from guests. This is coming from a person who detests snakes....

It’s called nature folks. I live in the middle of a subdivision adjacent to a wooded area. We have a snake that suns himself in front of our garage door and deer that eat my hostas. They lived here first, so we deal with it.

I would have left and never gone back!!!

Seems like a bad strategy to gain repeat guests..

Do you know what is scarier than this snake? No Housekeeping! 😊😂😮

Jake Balicki Hannah Balicki Cindy Hubert Balicki Chris Balicki

And this guy is a fox snake found downriver michigan...ugly..but harmless

There are some sore ass losers to not deal with reality. It’s part of the area, Deal with it! If you seen a Bear they would want selfies, If it’s a damper for your plans. Go to Toledo.
